Biography
I am Ja’Nya Sutherland a softball player, based in Volo, IL. I have been competing in Softball since I was 10 years old. Over the past year, I have competed in Rec Spring softball, All Stars and Fall ball through the Grant township.
Although I have only completed my first year in softball, my natural talent had me sought out by the travel team. In my first season I helped the team take 4th place out of 16 teams! I conquered being a pitcher and took home the game ball, all star medal and hit a triple (should have been a home run).
My long-term athletic dream is to play pro-softball. In the short term, however, I hope to continue to play to the best of my ability, work hard and get better every day.
Travel ball comes with A LOT of expenses. Your contribution would allow me to focus more of my time on training, allowing me to reach my athletic goals.
My goal is to raise $2,500 which will help cover the cost of the uniforms, boomba bag, helmet, equipment; such as cleats, glove, bats and the cost to travel to and from the tournaments. One of which I am very excited for in Wisconsin Dells!
